Today, I watched the video of my uncle's wedding... God how I hate to watch myself in video! I was content about the way I looked, danced and acted when I was there! But after I watched the video, NO WAY! I just cant find why I hate to watch or hear my voice from a different prospective!! Is it because we don’t accept the reality of ourselves?? Or because we see the faults before we see the positive and beautiful side??And the question that’s killing me! Do celebrities feel the same when they watch themselves at TV?

I used to have the same problem. and I still sink in my chair while hearing my voice recording.. but you get used to it after a while.
You can find comfort in that everyone feels the same way about themselves, even people that really shouldn't.

We make sounds by changing the pressure of the air that we breathe in a special way. Whatever happens to that air afterward can change the way it sounds. Try speaking in the shower: your own voice will sound different to you from how it sounds when you speak in your kitchen. The walls of the shower are much closer together and they are made of tile, which allows the air that you used to make the sound to bounce around in a different way from how it does in your kitchen. This is why you can hear an echo in some places or make your voice sound louder in others. The environment can change the sound itself.
Can you guess what is different about hearing your own voice? Think about what is between your throat, where you change the air into sound, and your ears, where you hear the sound. In fact, it is your head itself that changes the sound and makes you hear a deeper voice than other people do.
If you try humming, you can actually feel the vibrations of the air in the bones of your jaw. What you are feeling should feel similar to what you hear when you feel really loud music or the car rumbling when you are driving around. These are what engineers and scientists call “low frequencies,” which is a way of describing how “rumbly” a sound is. The bones in your head actually change the sound to increase how rumbly it is, which is why your voice sounds deeper to you.
The telephone, or mic used in filming, is a special case, because most of the very low (rumbly) frequencies or the very high (squeaky) frequencies don't travel on phone lines. It turns out that to understand what people are saying, we don't need to hear all the sound that they produce, only a small part of it that isn't too high or too low. This realization made it much easier 100 years ago when the telephone was first being developed. It was much harder to send sound across the phone wires then, and by cutting out the highest and lowest frequencies, less sound had to be sent.

It is because it is impossible to see you from the real perspective... look, you hear, actually everybody, your voice directly from your teeth (yeah sounds go throught the teeth and then go into your ears). So you hear your voice from inside.
And, the only way in wich you can see yourself is using a mirror... so... you see curly wurly that is oppossite to the real curly wurly...

yeah i don't know we can't tell whether our pics (or videos) look good unless someone tell us so
hmmmm, i sometimes feel like video tapes show all the errors and faults in u, while people don't actually notice them in reality :)
i also hate pictures :) i don't feel like this is "me" when i look at them... but u know what, i don't care ;) coz this is me, and i should be accepted as i am :)
i don't think celebrities have the same problem, simply coz they have great photographers who know which angle should they take the picture from... plus, they have great makeup artists, and they actually look much nicer in those videos than they are in reality :)
